About the book
When Princess Minnifitty is sent to live with her Great Aunt after her parents’ unfortunate encounter with a blind-as-a-bat dragon, her entire world is turned upside down.
Feeling abandoned and invisible, Minnifitty gets cranky and stays cranky. And she takes it out on everyone, especially those rotten neighborhood kids.
But when the unexpected happens and Minnifitty has to depend on the very people she has behaved the absolute worst to, will they help her… Or has she taken her crankiness too far?

Minnifitty and The Rotten Kids, a story about second chances, seeing past rough edges, and how friendship sometimes arrives uninvited.
A Glimpse Inside
That day, when Minnifitty woke up, it was late in the morning, and the castle was noticeably quiet. Nobody was waiting to put her slippers on for her, and she didn’t smell any breakfast cooking. Worse, even when she hollered her loudest holler, no one came running.
Minnifitty felt a tantrum coming on. Sure enough, she screamed until her throat hurt. She shook her fists in the air until her arms got sore. She kicked all the quilts off her bed and onto the floor. But none of it did any good. Nobody showed up, and nothing changed. So, finally, Minnifitty stopped. She turned over and cried into her pillow for a little bit, but then she got up and put her slippers on all by herself. She picked the quilts up off the floor and put on her robe. Then she went for a walkabout.
The castle was empty. Even the prisoners were gone.
